Each stop featured a tourism information booth, a Kyun-chan character goods giveaway, and appearances by the Kyun-chan mascot. Seven regional partners joined the Fukuoka booth, and three regional groups took part in Kumamoto.

Why it matters

Kyushu is a long-distance market for Hokkaido and its residents typically fly to reach the prefecture. In-person promotions at large shopping centres and train stations help create direct name recognition for smaller regional destinations such as Otaru, Obihiro, Tokachi and the Niseko area.
